RDP über SSH!

Das Interface von Jump Desktop ist so mittelprächtig und es telefoniert ungefragt nach Hause. Aber immerhin gibt es nun endlich einen stabil laufenden RDP-Client im AppStore, der auch SSH-Tunnel (mit Key) aufbaut. Außerdem ist der Support wirklich super, man hat sich dort die größte Mühe gegeben, ein (selbstverschuldetes) Verbindungsproblem zu lösen. Daher bereue ich es nur so halb, den stolzen Preis von 27 Euro für das Tool bezahlt zu haben. Wäre das Fenster mit den Verbindungen optional (siehe Yummy FTP als sehr positives Beispiel) und würden nicht unerwünschte Netzwerkverbindungen zum Usertracking hergestellt, wäre Jump Desktop eine eindeutige Empfehlung!

… auch unter iOS. Aber der ständige, ungefragte Verbindungsaufbau zu Zielen, die ich evtl. nicht möchte ist ein no-go (User-Tracking?). Warum muss das sein, ohne Einwilligung des Anwenders so einfach Verbindungen zu ungewollten Zielen aufzubauen? Ansonsten ist die App eine der besten, die ich bisher hatte, sie vereint viele Protokolle und funktioniert einwandfrei- inkl. Cloud-Sync (sehr praktisch, wenn man die App auf mehreren Geräten in Verwendung hat). Bitte diesen blöden, ungewollten Verbindungsaufbau entfernen, dann bin ich gerne bereit, alle 5 Sterne zu vergeben.

We have a Windows server at work and I needed a remote desktop application to connect when not in the office … using Jump I can work from home on the Mac or from anywhere on the iPad or iPhone … so I read the great reviews for Jump and found the courage to pay the $29.99, and was pleasantly suprised when it worked better than the computer at the office! No problems, would definitely recommend you buy it.
